MACOMB, Ill. - The IUPUI women's golf team slogged its way through a wet round of golf on Monday, finishing tied for sixth of nine teams at the Western Illinois Autumn Invite at the on-campus Harry Mussatto Golf Course. WIU edged Eastern Illinois by two strokes for the team title, finishing with a single-round 310.

IUPUI turned in a 342, tied with UW-Green Bay.

Junior Stephanie Greer and freshman Melanie Pray led the Jaguars with 11-over 83s on the par-72, 5,069-yard course. Greer shot a 39 on the front nine, but struggled over the final nine holes. The duo tied for 22nd among the 57 player field. 

Behind them, freshman Trisha Champ and senior Emily Felts carded 88s and freshman Lauren Kuss posted a 90. Additionally, freshman Kristi O'Brien carded a 90, playing as an individual. 

The Jaguars will return to action next Monday when they take part in the Cardinal Classic at The Players Club in Muncie, Ind..
