ROCHESTER, Mich. - After rain halted play of the second game of Friday's doubleheader, the Jaguars took care of business on Saturday by completing a 5-0 win over Oakland. OU responded by salvaging game three of the series with a 7-3 victory in the nightcap.
IUPUI sophomore hurler
Jessica McGown tossed her first career complete game shutout in the 5-0 victory, fanning eight and walking just two.

Both
Mia Ettl and
Amy Raker went 3-for-4 with a run scored and McGown (4-10) allowed just three singles as IUPUI rolled past Oakland for the second straight game, 5-0.
After building a 1-0 lead before play was halted on Friday, IUPUI played add-on in the sixth inning without the benefit of a base hit.
Jenna Crockett led off by reaching on an error and was lifted for pinch runner
Sierra VanDeKeere.
Senior
Jenny Boyts successfully dropped a sacrifice bunt and an errant throw to second base allowed VanDeKeere to wheel all the way around the bases.
In the seventh inning, IUPUI batted around and strung together four singles to push home three runs. Raker and
Cassie Harvey each had run scoring hits in the rally and another scored on a throwing error.
OU's Alison Tansel (2-4) took the loss despite allowing just one earned run in six innings of action. The Oakland defense committed four errors behind she and teammate Marisa Everitt, leading to three unearned runs.
Game #2 - Oakland 7, IUPUI 3
In the series finale, IUPUI started out hot again as Crockett blasted a two-run homer in the top of the first inning. It was her team-high sixth long ball of the year, with all six coming in the final month of the season.
Oakland got a run back in the bottom of the second against VanDeKeere, who was making her first start of the 2008 season.
OU (15-28, 6-13 Summit) scored three times in the bottom of the fourth inning and added single runs in the fifth and sixth innings. IUPUI (11-27, 6-15) scored in the top half of the sixth when Raker led off with her eighth double of the season and scored on Boyts' single up the middle.
Raker scored two runs and
Cayleigh Harvey went 2-for-3 with a double.
Raker (4-7) absorbed the loss in relief, yielding four runs and five hits in 1.1 innings of work. OU's Jessica Granger (10-19) got the win, striking out four.
