IUPUI junior swimmer #Elizabeth Bourgeois# has been named the Sahm's Female Student-Athlete of the Month for February after helping the Jaguars to a fourth-place finish at the Summit League Swimming and Diving Championships.
At the Summit League Championships, Bourgeois helped the Jags to a second-place finish in 200 medley relay with time of 1:45.72, setting a new school record, while also helping the 800 freestyle relay team to a new school-record time of 7:36.89 as they placed third.
Her opening 200 split in the 800 freestyle relay was second-fastest time in school history, and Bourgeois rounded out her relays assisting the 200 free relay to a school-record time of 1:35.26 and the 400 medley relay a school-best mark of 3:29.88.
In individual events, Bouregois broke the IUPUI school record in 50 free en-route to earning all-conference honors with a third-place time of 23.68. She additionally placed fourth overall in the 100 butterfly and the 100 freestyle with times of 56.72 at 52.15, respectively. Her 100 freestyle mark topped the school-record charts.
