Junior softball student-athlete Amy Raker has been tabbed IUPUI's Female Student-Athlete of the Month for April 2010. The junior third baseman/pitcher batted .339 with 11 runs batted in and seven runs scored in 21 games played. She helped IUPUI to a 6-5 mark in Summit League play during the month.

She accumulated six multi-hit and two multi-RBI games in her 21 starts.

She capped the month with a walkoff homerun in the 7-6 win over IPFW on Apr. 30. It was her first longball of the season and helped keep the Jaguars in contention for a berth in the upcoming Summit League Tournament.

Raker also made seven pitching appearances during the month and was victorious in game two of the IPFW series. For the year, she leads the pitching staff with a 3.73 earned run average and owns the only shutout by an IUPUI pitcher this season. Offensively, she's second on the team with a .271 batting average and is fourth on the club with 19 RBI.
