INDIANAPOLIS - IU Indianapolis men's track and field junior Luke Shappell has been named the #HLTF Men's Runner of the Week to open the outdoor season, as awarded by the league office on Tuesday (Mar. 24). 

Shappell was runner-up in the 800m event at the Miami University Blizzard Buster on Friday (Mar. 20) with a time of 1:52.79. His time is currently tops in the Horizon League by nearly a full second and was the ninth-fastest performance in program history in the 800m. His time was six-tenths of a second off matching his personal best time.
