Junior Titus Boswell is tied for seventh at 5-under 135 through 36 holes

MUNCIE, Ind. - Junior Titus Boswell continued his torrid play to start the 2025-2026 season on Saturday, carding rounds of 70 and 65 to lead the IU Indy men's golf team on day one of Ball State's Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational. The Jaguars recorded rounds of 281 and 282 and are tied for seventh among the 13-team field ahead of Sunday's finale. 

Host Ball State leads the way at 536 while Butler is second at 547. Six teams finished day one under par while the Jaguars ended at 3-over 563 through 36 holes. 

Round one saw Brady Schier and Boswell lead the way with the former carding 2-under 68 and Boswell closing at even par 70. Schier had five birdies in his opening round while Boswell made a pair of eagles and two birdies in his morning 18. Noah Kirsch and Keaton Parmley were both countable at 73 and 74, respectively, while Preston Broce finished at 9-over 79. True freshman Jack Scudder ended his opening round at 2-over 72 while playing as an individual. 

Boswell was brilliant in round two with a bogey-free 65, including finished with back-to-back birdies. Kirsch fired a 1-over 71, including five birdies, and both Schier and Parmley shot 73. Broce came in at 76 while Scudder shot 71 with an eagle and three birdies. 

Boswell is tied for seventh among the 84-player field at 135 (70-65) and Schier is tied for 31st at 141 (68-73). 

Ball State's Luke Johnston leads the field at 11-under 129 heading into Sunday's final round while Southern Indiana's Alex Peck and BSU's Samuel Harris are tied for second at 131. Sunday's final round is slated to begin at 9:00 a.m.
