INDIANAPOLIS – The IU Indy volleyball team was named a 2025 AVCA Team Academic honoree. The Jags were one of more than 1,450 collegiate and high school volleyball programs that maintained a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale to earn the award for their classroom excellence during the recently completed academic year.
The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) represents women's volleyball, men's volleyball, and beach volleyball coaches, and works to increase exposure and recognition for the sport of volleyball.
IU Indy was one of nine Horizon League schools honored, including Cleveland State, Northern Kentucky, Oakland, Purdue Fort Wayne, Robert Morris, Green Bay, Youngstown State and Wright State.
The Jaguars kick off the 2025-26 regular season on the road at Charleston Southern on August 29. IU Indy will host a Red vs. White Scrimmage on August 13 in the Jungle at 6:00 PM and an Alumnae Match on August 17 at 1:00 PM.
