INDIANAPOLIS – The IU Indianapolis volleyball team saw two of their student-athletes named to the CSC Academic All-District Team.
Jordyn Pax and
Ninah Miranda each earned the honor as announced by College Sports Communicators, CSC on Tuesday, December 16. The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
Jordyn Pax, a senior from Plainfield, Indiana, played in all 32 matches for the Jags, totaling 210 digs and 20 service aces and 26 assists. Pax maintains a 4.00 GPA in General Studies/TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).
Ninah Miranda, a junior from Lebanon, Ohio, also made the All-District team after posting a 3.57 GPA in Marketing. She played in all 32 matches, starting in 28, totaling 241 kills, 24 service aces, 38 assists and 304 digs. She was also named to the Horizon League All-Tournament Team.
Pax and Miranda along with 19 other student-athletes, including honorees from Milwaukee, Northern Kentucky, Oakland, Purdue Fort Wayne, Robert Morris and Youngstown State, represented the Horizon League.
