URBANA, Ill. - IU Indianapolis men's golfer Titus Boswell closed out the NCAA Urbana Regional at Atkins Golf Club with a final round, 6-over 77 on Wednesday (May 14), finishing the event at 229 for the week (79-73-77). Boswell's day was highlighted by back-to-back birdies on holes 11 and 12 as he played the back nine to 1-over 36.

His birdie on No. 11 came on the second stingiest hole of the course and was one of just 11 birdies that came on the par-4 during the tournament. No. 12 proved to be one of the easiest holes on the course as the short par-4 had an eagle and 62 birdies made during the week. Boswell made nine pars on Wednesday to go along with the two birdies just after the turn. His final score of 229 placed him 68th among the 79 players competing.

"It was awesome getting to test my skills on such a demanding golf course," Boswell said. "Getting to play in this event proved to me that I belong with these elite level golfers at the next level. It was a great time and I'm excited to make a run back at it the next two years."

No. 2 Oklahoma State and No. 14 Illinois finished atop the team standings at 837 while UNLV finished third at 846. Troy (850) and Texas Tech (851) also both advanced to NCAA Nationals, finishing among the top-5. Michigan's Hunter Thomson earned medalist honors at 10-under 203 for the week while three others closed at 9-under 204.

Boswell, coming off a First Team All-Horizon League spot this past season, is expected to headline a group of returners that also includes classmate Brady Schier and upperclassmen Noah Kirsch and Harry Ward
