Box Score ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The IU Indy men's tennis team finished out the 2024-25 season as they fell to Tennessee State in the Horizon League Tournament opening round, 4-0. Three Jags pushed their matches to three sets, but it wasn't enough as the Tigers secured the doubles point and three singles points.
In doubles play, the Jags fell at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to fall behind 1-0.
Nate Day and
Konner Gunwall dropped the No. 1 match, 6-0 while
Will Thurin and
Steven Paz fell at No. 3 doubles, 6-2.
Kamil Kozerski and
Noah Viste were up 5-3 in the No. 2 spot before the doubles point went final.
Moving on to singles play, the Jags fought, pushing three matches to three sets but the Tigers secured the match victory with three singles wins. Viste dropped the No. 2 point, 6-3, 6-2. Kozerski then fell in the No. 1 spot, 7-6, 6-2 and
Eli Mercer lost at No. 4 singles, 6-4, 7-6.
Paz,
Pumiphat Sukkho and Thurin all pushed their matches to three sets before the match went final.
The IU Indy Jaguars finish the season with a 10-13 overall record and 4-4 conference mark.
