INDIANAPOLIS – The IU Indy women's basketball adds another transfer to the 2025-26 incoming class with the signing of Sydney Bolden. Bolden joins the Jags after spending the past three seasons at Ball State.
"We are proud to announce that Sydney Bolden is officially joining the IU Indy Women's Basketball program," said head coach
Kate Bruce. "From the first time we connected with her, it was clear that she brings a level of intensity, focus, and team-first mentality that fits seamlessly with the identity we're establishing here."
"We're excited to integrate her into our system and begin shaping the next chapter of her basketball journey."
Bolden played her first three seasons with the Ball State Cardinals, winning a MAC Championship. During her junior season with the Cardinals, Bolden averaged 1.6 points and 0.8 rebounds in eight minutes per game in 21 appearances. She totaled a season-best 10 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals against Anderson.
The 5-foot-8 guard played in 16 games during her sophomore season while helping the Cardinals to 28 overall wins and 16 league victories, both being program records along with an automatic berth to the NCAA WBIT postseason tournament.
Bolden is set to join the IU Indy women's basketball program prior to the 2025-26 season.
