INDIANAPOLIS – IU Indy women's basketball announced the addition of transfer guard Olivia Flynn for the 2026-27 season.

Flynn, a 5-foot-9 guard, joins the Jaguars after spending her freshman campaign at Western Michigan. She appeared in 17 games during the 2025-26 season, averaging 5.1 minutes per contest while contributing 0.9 points, 0.2 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game. Flynn posted a season-high six points against Ohio on Feb. 4.

"We're excited to welcome Olivia Flynn to our program," said Bruce. "She's a high-level shooter who immediately helps address an area we've been focused on improving, and her ability to stretch the floor will make an impact right away. Beyond her skill set, she's a relentless worker with great character, someone who fits exactly what we value in our program. We're looking forward to getting her on campus and seeing her continue to grow in our system."

A standout at Harbor Springs High School, Flynn put together one of the most decorated prep careers in Michigan. She was named the Division 3 Player of the Year in 2025 and finished as the Michigan Miss Basketball Runner-Up that same season. Flynn earned Division 3 All-State honors in all four years of her career.

Flynn consistently filled the stat sheet throughout her high school tenure. As a sophomore, she averaged 25.2 points, 7.3 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game. She elevated her play even further as a junior, averaging 26.2 points per game while becoming Harbor Springs' all-time leading scorer. She also added 8.1 rebounds and 7.9 assists per contest, guiding the Rams to a 22-3 record and a district championship.

In January of her senior year, Flynn surpassed the 2,000-point milestone, becoming just the 34th player in Michigan High School Athletic Association history to reach that mark. She went on to average 25.2 points, 7.9 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 4.9 steals per game as a senior, leading Harbor Springs to another 22-3 record and a division title. Flynn also competed on the club circuit with the Michigan Mystics.

Flynn comes from a strong basketball lineage. She is the daughter of John and Amy Flynn, both former players at Grand Valley State. Her father, John, is a member of the GVSU Athletics Hall of Fame. Her mother, Amy, remains one of the top players in program history, holding the school record for career three-pointers made (239) while ranking 10th in scoring (1,296), third in steals (268) and fourth in assists (393).

Flynn will join the Jaguars prior to the 2026-27 season.
