ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The IU Indianapolis men's golf team opened its spring schedule on Monday (Feb. 24) with rounds of 314 and 299 at the World Golf Village Collegiate, hosted by Eastern Kentucky on the King & Bear Course. Noah Kirsch was the team's low man in round one at 76 while sophomore Brady Schier led a balanced group in round two at 74. 

Only half of the field's teams completed all 36 holes before play was halted due to darkness. North Florida has a commanding lead on the field at even par while Bellarmine is second overall at 25-over par. 

In the morning round, Kirsch made 14 pars as part of his round of 4-over 76 and both Schier and Morgan Tournemire closed at 78. Tournemire had a team-high three birdies while Schier made back-to-back birdies on his final two holes of the round. Sophomore Titus Boswell was countable at 82 and Sam McWilliams finished at 85. Harry Ward notched an opening round 79 while playing as an individual. 

Schier had a team-high three birdies in round two as part of his team-best round of 74. Boswell, Kirsch and Tournemire all turned in rounds of 75 and McWilliams finished at 78. Ward posted a second round 83. 

Boswell is tied for the tournament lead on the par 3's, having played them to even par through two rounds. He also leads the field with 28 pars while Kirsch is just off his pace with 27 pars. 

Play will resume on Tuesday morning.
