MUNCIE, Ind. - The IU Indianapolis women's golf team carded a final round 296 and moved up two spots to a sixth-place finish at the Brittany Kelly Classic at The Players Club at 907 (302-309-296). Freshman Cassidy Ayres earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team, tying for fifth overall at 3-over 219 (73-71-75) for her first career top-10 finish. Sophomore Nina Wojtczak finished inside the top-20 at 10-over 226 (72-79-75) and junior Yanah Rolston dialed up a 1-under 71 on the tournament's final day.

"It was a fun day on the golf course - just a lot of positives out there," head coach Jamie Broce said. "The ladies have been working really hard, so this was a real shot in the arm for them. They went out and grinded it out and put themselves in really good positions all day. I'm super proud of them.

No member of the Jaguars' lineup carded higher than bogey all day as the scorecards consisted of pars, birdies and bogeys. After opening her round with a bogey, Rolston got to 1-under by the turn and was at 2-under after making birdie on the par-5, No. 4. She immediately gave back a shot with a bogey and reeled off four pars to close her tournament. She finished at 228 (79-78-71), shaking off a lackluster Monday performance.

"I felt really confident and calm going into today and just tried to go play the best I could," Rolston said. "Fortunately, my game seemed to be very dialed in."

Ayres was slow out of the gates, making bogey on three of her first four holes, but fired back with five birdies in her round, including one on her final hole to earn a top-five finish. Both Wojtczak and junior Reagan Sohn posted final rounds of 3-over 75 and sophomore Sydni Zebrauskas closed at 5-over 77. As a team, the Jaguars ranked among the tournament leaders in pars (150), led by Sohn (32) and Ayres (31). Ayres made a team-high 10 birdies for the week while Rolston made eight.

Host Ball State cruised to the team title, winning by 11 shots over second-place Ohio University. BSU's Jasmine Driscoll collected medalist honors at 5-under 211, winning by five shots.

The Jaguars will return to action on Sept. 30 when they compete at the Butler Fall Invitational at Highland Golf & Country Club.
