HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - The IUPUI women's golf team carded a second round 317 on day two of the Horizon League Golf Championships on El Campeon at Mission Inn Resort on Sunday (Apr. 21). The Jaguars' score was the second-best among the field, trailing only Youngstown State's 312 heading into Monday's finale.

Oakland continues to lead the field at 624 while YSU climbed to second at 630. IUPUI sits at 639, 15 shots off the lead. Senior Shelby Busker is third overall at 7-over 153 (77-76) and senior Annaliese Fox is tied for sixth at 10-over 156 (80-76).

Both Busker and Fox led the charge at 3-over 76 on Sunday.

"Overall, not a bad day for us," head coach Jamie Broce said. "We had some big numbers on some holes, but I thought we fought and scrapped until the end. I think Shelby or Annaliese are capable of going out and winning it. I'd love to see us go out tomorrow and get off to a good start and put ourselves in contention with nine (holes) to go. It's doable, but we have to go out and do it."

The Jaguars received a jolt from freshman Sydni Zebrauskas, who made her debut in the lineup and responded with a 9-over 82. Sophomore Yanah Rolston capped the scorers at 10-over 83 and senior Madeleine Pape shot 85.

Busker made two birdies on her first four holes of the round and was at even par for much of her round. After a birdie on No. 7, her 16th hole of the round, got her back to 1-over, she closed with back-to-back bogeys to finish at 3-over. Fox was 1-under at the turn, including a long birdie on the difficult No. 17.

Zebrauskas also had a pair of birdies during her round, including on her first hole of the day, while Rolston also had a pair of birdies.

The Jaguars continue to lead the field in par-3 scoring and birdies (18) while Busker is tops among the field in par-5 scoring for the week at 2-under. Busker is tied for the tournament lead with seven birdies while Fox has four through 36 holes. Fox is one of three players to have played the par-3's to even for the tournament.

IUPUI will tee off at 7:30 a.m. on Monday (Apr. 22) and play its final round with Green Bay.
