FAIRBORN, Ohio - IU Indy redshirt freshman
Jay Pillai placed fourth of 55 runners at Wright State's Wild Bill Invitational on Friday (Oct. 25) to lead the team's three entries in the late season meet.
Pillai finished in a time of 25:59.1, just missing a new personal best effort by five seconds. Behind him,
Nicholas Probst finished 15th overall in a time of 26:42.3 and
Andrew Blake posted a new personal best time of 26:52.2, placing 18th overall.
"I just made the most of the opportunity to race this week to bounce back from Bradley and get ready for conference," Pillai said.
The meet was a late addition to the schedule, giving individuals an opportunity to post low marks heading into next weekend's conference championships.
Ben Fahnestock took the individual tape in a time of 25:27.9 and Lindsey Wilson College won the team standings with 26 points. The Jaguars didn't factor in team scoring with just three entries.
