WEST DES MOINES, Iowa - The IUPUI men's golf team sits fifth among 13 teams competing at this week's Zach Johnson Invitational after posting rounds of 294 and 282 at Glen Oaks Country Club on Monday (Sept. 25). Iowa State leads the field at 20-under 548 heading into Tuesday's finale.
The Jaguars second round, 2-under 282 helped vault the team to the top half of the field after a slow start in the morning round led to a 294. Freshman
Titus Boswell posted rounds of 71 and 70 and is tied for 14th among the 75-player field while senior
Taylor Gardner shot 144 (74-70) and is tied for 25th.

Jamie Broce's team got identical 1-under 70's from Boswell, Gardner and
Harry Ward in round two with
Kevin Tillery rounding out the scoring at 1-over 72 to account for the 2-under round. Gardner made six birdies in round two while Boswell and Ward made three each. Tillery and
Morgan Tournemire each made two in the afternoon.
The morning round was more challenging as a slow start ultimately led to a 294.
Bowell had five birdies in the morning round as part of his even par 71 and Gardner had two birdies and an eagle to shoot 74. Tournemire shot 3-over 74 and Tillery was countable at 4-over 75 without a birdie in round one.
Iowa State's Luke Gutschewski leads the field at 10-under 132 and three others are tied at 7-under through 36 holes.
Play will resume with a 9:00 a.m. CT shotgun start on Tuesday as the Jaguars will be paired with South Dakota and Loyola Chicago.
