DETROIT, Mich. – The IUPUI women's basketball team travels to Detroit to kick off a two-game road trip when they face Detroit Mercy on Thursday (Feb. 16) at 7:00 PM then Oakland on Saturday (Feb. 18) at 2:00 PM.
The Jags fell to the number one team in the Horizon League, Cleveland State on Saturday afternoon, 83-59.
Natalie Andersen led the Jaguar offense with 12 points while freshman
Abby Wolterman followed with a career-high 11 points.
Destiny Perkins hit her 1,000 point last week during Thursday's game against Purdue Fort Wayne joining her teammate,
Rachel Kent. Senior Kent hit her 1,000 point mark earlier this season.

Jazmyn Turner was named #HLWBB Player of the Week in the first week of 2023 after averaging 19.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game in the two IUPUI wins. The forward ranks fifth in the Horizon League in scoring and has consistently led the Jaguar offense, averaging 14.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game this season. She also currently ranks second in the Horizon League in field goal percentage with a 57.7 mark (131 for 227), placing her 24
th nationally.
IUPUI has found success beyond the arc setting a Horizon League and IUPUI record with 17 three-point field goals in its 85-72 win over Northern Illinois. The Jags hold the league's best percentage from long range with a 35.3 percent, averaging 8.6 threes per game.

Destiny Perkins pace the way with Perkins adding 57 threes made and Kent with 50. Kent holds a 38.8 percent (50-for-129) from behind the arc while Perkins follows with a 36.8 percent (57-for-155).
Three Jags rank in the top ten in scoring in the Horizon League with Perkins coming in at fourth (14.2), Turner just barely behind her in fifth (14.1) and Kent holding the eighth spot (12.6).
IUPUI will take on the Titans from Detroit Mercy on Thursday at 7:00 PM then travels to Oakland to face the Golden Grizzlies on Saturday at 2:00 PM.
