INDIANAPOLIS – The IUPUI men's tennis team begins the spring season slate this weekend when they face Notre Dame, DePaul and Butler. The Jags will travel to South Bend on Friday, January 13 for two matches, Notre Dame at 2:30 PM and DePaul at 6:00 PM. Then they return to Indy for their first home match of the season when they host Butler at 12:00 PM on Monday, January 16.
 
Coming off a second-place finish in the Horizon League Tournament in 2022, the Jaguars were picked to finish third in the Horizon League North Division Preseason poll behind Cleveland State and Youngstown State. IUPUI has several returning faces along with a few newcomers that look to make a big impact.
 
Top returners for the Jags are graduate students Alex Jochim and Colton Morehart, along with seniors Blessing Benibo and Nicholas Moody. Junior Emil Jankowski returns for the Jags with sophomores Kamil Kozerski, Nate Day, Will Thurin and Noah Viste. IUPUI added freshman Eli Mercer and grad transfer Tom Ciszewski, who joins the Jags after spending four years at UNLV.
 
IUPUI will travel to Notre Dame on Friday for a 2:30 PM match against the Fighting Irish then the Jags go head-to-head against DePaul at 6:00 PM.
 
After the two matches on Friday, the Jags return home to host cross town foe, Butler on Monday, January 16. IUPUI hosts the Bulldogs for a 12:00 PM first serve at West Indy.
