INDIANAPOLIS – The IUPUI Athletics Department, in conjunction with the Horizon League, announced it's 20-game league basketball schedule on Wednesday (Aug. 17). The reigning #HLWBB champions will open league play with two home games against Green Bay (Dec. 3) and Milwaukee (Dec. 5).
The Jaguars will host Northern Kentucky on Dec. 30 at the Jungle and will finish off home conference games against Wright State (Jan. 1), Detroit Mercy (Jan. 20), Oakland (Jan. 22), Purdue Fort Wayne (Feb. 9), Cleveland State (Feb. 11), Youngstown State (Feb. 21) and Robert Morris (Feb. 23). All Horizon League games will be broadcast across various ESPN platforms and tickets for all IUPUI home games can be purchased by contacting the ticket office at 317-278-2530. Single game tickets will go on sale later this fall and season tickets are on sale by
clicking here or by contacting the IUPUI ticket office during normal business hours.
Head coach
Kate Bruce and her staff will enter their first season leading the Jaguars. The new staff consists of
Johnny Montello (Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator),
Kortney Dunbar (Assistant Coach),
China Dow (Assistant Coach) and
Hannah Blake (Director of Basketball Operations).
The Jags return eight members from the Horizon League championship team, including starters
Destiny Perkins and
Rachel Kent. Other members from last year's squad include
Natalie Andersen,
Ali Berg,
Jaci Jones,
Logan Lewis,
Jacquel Bronaugh and
Nakaih Hunter.
Incoming freshman
Teresa Maggio,
Abby Wolterman and Brianna Brown will look to make an early impact while transfers
Genesis Parker and
Jazmyn Turner will also be counted on heavily this season.
