MEN’S TENNIS CONTINUES FOUR-MATCH HOMESTAND

The Jags look to extend their two-game win streak

INDIANAPOLIS – The IUPUI men's tennis team competes at home all weekend hosting North Dakota on Thursday (March 31), Cleveland State on Saturday (April 2) and Youngstown State on Sunday (April 3). The Jags are currently on a two-match win streak after wins over conference foes Northern Kentucky and UIC.
 
IUPUI enters the week 6-12 over and 2-0 in the Horizon League. Alex Jochim and Emil Jankowski earned the No. 1 doubles win to lead the Jags to a 7-0 win over UIC. The partnership extended their win streak to five and have a team-high ten doubles wins on the year. Sean Bailey and Kamil Kozerski also recorded a doubles win to seal the doubles point. Jochim, Bailey, Kozerski, Colton Morehart, Blessing Benibo and Emil Jankowski all earned singles points to sweep UIC.
 
The Jags will host North Dakota on Thursday (March 31) at 1:00 PM. North Dakota comes to IUPUI with a 10-7 overall record and 2-1 in the Summit League. The Fighting Hawks are coming off a 6-1 loss at Denver. Nikita Snezhko leads the team with a team-high 11 singles wins followed by Dylan Leeman with 10. The partnership of Snezhko and Gerhard Sullwald have earned 11 doubles wins for the Fighting Hawks.
 
On Saturday (April 2), IUPUI will continue Horizon League play when they host Cleveland State (6-10, 1-1 HL) at 2:30 PM. The Vikings are coming off a 6-1 win over NKU. Kade Mindry leads the team in singles wins with 17 while the doubles team of Mindry and Maxime Mareschal-Hay have a team-high four doubles wins.
 
IUPUI will face Youngstown State to finish out the homestand on Sunday (April 3) at 2:30 PM. The Penguins are 7-8 overall and 2-0 in conference play after defeating Cleveland State, 4-3, and NKU, 5-2. Nathan Favier and Harry Fouzas each have 14 singles wins this season. Favier and Clement Mainguy have a team-high 13 doubles wins.

With the three matches at home, the Jaguars look to extend their two-game win streak.
