DAYTON, Ohio – The IUPUI men's tennis team travels to Dayton on Friday to take on the Flyers at 7:00 PM, followed by a trip to West Lafayette to face Chicago State at 9:00 AM and Purdue at 6:00 PM on Sunday.
 
IUPUI opened their spring season last weekend when they traveled to Michigan State and Northwestern. They lost to the Spartans, 6-1. Colton Morehart earned a big win over the Big Ten competitor at No. 3 singles (6-7 (5-7), 6-3, 6-3. The Jags dropped the match to Northwestern, 4-0.
 
The Flyers enter the match 3-3 with wins against Thomas More (7-0, 5-0) and Xavier (4-3). Eric Perkowski earned wins in the Thomas More match and the Xavier match at No. 4 and No. 6 singles. Chicago State enters this weekend 1-3 with their sole win at Marquette this past week. Pedro Alvarez and Javier Sanchez earned a No. 3 doubles win and was named WAC doubles team of the week. Big Ten competitor Purdue started their spring season off 0-4, losing to SMU, #24 Oklahoma, Tulsa and Wichita State.
 
The Jags will begin the weekend at Dayton at 7:00 PM on Friday and continue the weekend at West Lafayette at 9:00 AM against Chicago State followed by Purdue at 6:00 PM on Sunday.
