INDIANAPOLIS – The IUPUI women's tennis team begins their spring season this weekend when they travel to East Lansing, Michigan to take on Michigan State on Saturday at 4:00 PM, followed by a trip to Evanston, Illinois to face Northwestern at 6:00 PM on Sunday.
IUPUI opens their spring season after a busy fall season with tournaments at Purdue, University of Dayton and Ball State where most of the Jags recorded wins in singles and doubles. Freshman
Kamil Kozerski and freshman
Noah Viste each recorded singles wins at both the Purdue and Ball State Invites. Senior
Colton Morehart and freshman
Canaan Sellers each earned singles wins at Purdue and the Dayton matches while graduate student
Sean Bailey recorded singles win at Dayton as well.

Will Thurin and
Emil Jankowski also earned singles wins. Sophomore Jankowski and senior
Alex Jochim along with the partnership of Kozerski and Bailey each earned doubles wins for the Jags in the fall. Jochim also made a run in the ITA Regionals making it to the round of 32 in the consolation bracket.
Michigan State began their spring season this past weekend when they defeated Virginia Tech, 4-3, then went on to sweep Eastern Illinois. Northwestern is 2-0 to start the season after sweeping Chicago State.
The Jags will begin their spring season with Michigan State at 4:00 PM on Saturday and continue the weekend at Northwestern at 6:00 PM on Sunday.
