WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The IUPUI men's tennis team opened its fall slate this past weekend, competing in the Purdue Fall Invite at Purdue's Schwartz Tennis Center. The Jaguars competed against players from Ball State, DePaul and Purdue in a three-day format. 

Kamil Kozerski and Canaan Sellers both captured singles wins against players from Ball State and two others, Colton Morehart and Noah Viste, earned victories against players from DePaul. Kozerski outlasted Ball State's Nathaniel Webster, winning the first set and then getting to a second-set tiebreaker before Webster retired. Sellers collected a win over Ball State's Petar Petrovic for his first collegiate victory. 

Against DePaul, Morehart earned a straight sets win over Jona Gitschel, 6-4, 6-2, while Viste rallied for a three-set thriller over Phasu Sirinit, 6-2, 1-6, 6-2. 

In doubles play, IUPUI also fared well against DePaul, taking two of the three matches. Emil Jankowski and Alex Jochim won an easy one, 6-1, while Kozerski and Sean Bailey combined on a 6-3 victory. 

The weekend's full results are listed below. This week, selected members of the IUPUI men's squad will head to Knoxville, Tenn., to compete in the ITA Regionals, hosted by the University of Tennessee.
