MEN'S TENNIS HITS ROAD FOR FINAL TIME THIS SEASON AT UIC

The Jags will play their final weekend of road matches when taking on the Flames.

CHICAGO – IUPUI men's tennis hits the road for the final time this season, playing two matches against UIC over the weekend.

The Jags are looking to snap a six-match losing streak having lost to Saint Louis 3-4 the last time they took the court. The matches will be on Saturday (April 17) and Sunday (April 18) and will begin at 12:30 p.m. ET both days.

QUICK HITTERS
Alex Jochim remains at the top of the standings for IUPUI with a 6-7 overall record. Three of Jochim's wins have come at the No. 1 spot.

Ethan Mardanus-Budiono is second on the team with five singles wins and is tied with Jochim for two wins in Horizon League play.

Blessing Benibo is on a two-match win streak in singles play and is 3-6 overall on the year.

In doubles play, Mardanus-Budiono and Sean Bailey lead the Jags with a 6-4 record as a team. Blessing Benibo and Colton Morehart each have six doubles wins as well but have played as part of different duos this year.

SCOUTING UIC
UIC is 1-14 on the season and 0-6 in Horizon League play. The last win for the Flames was a 4-3 win over Chicago State before Horizon League play began.

Pelle Strandberg leads the Flames with a 3-9 overall record in singles play, all coming at the No. 1 spot. Gustavo Schwebel and Anthony Nguyen have the best doubles record at 3-4.

ALL-TIME vs UIC
The Jags are 2-9 all-time against UIC and have lost the last seven matches against the Flames. The last meeting was a 3-4 loss in Chicago in 2019.
