Williams still going

Jags seeding in the Horizon
- In the first update of the Horizon League Seeding, the Jags find themselves in fifth place in the league. If the tournament were to start today, IUPUI would face off against Green Bay in the quarterfinals of the Horizon League Tournament. The first five seeds will receive a first round bye in the tournament.Â
IUPUI against the Flames

In the last four games, IUPUI has scored at least 71 points and has not given up more than 51. The average scoring margin in the series since IUPUI joined the Horizon League is 78.2 to 46.
-Â
Macee Williams has scored in double-figures in five of the six games she has played UIC. In her last game against the Flames, Williams has 23 points and nine rebounds in just 22 minutes of play. She also shot 64 percent from the field in the last two games.
-Â As a sophomore, Williams averaged 16.5 points per game and 8.5 rebounds per game, shooting over 70 percent from the field.
-Â The Jags have dominated the first half against the Flames, outscoring UIC 99-51 in the first half last season and 81-48 two seasons ago.
-Â In the two meetings last season, IUPUI shot 49.6 percent from the field while holding UIC to just 34.4 percent shooting. The Jags were 18-for-55 from three (32.7 percent) to UIC shooting 5-for-20 from deep (25 percent).
Notes From Green Bay
- The Jags were outscored in the paint in both games against Green Bay. IUPUI had only been outscored in the paint in one other game this season (L at Notre Dame).Â
- IUPUI's seven-point win in the second game of the weekend was the first game IUPUI has won that was decided by less than 20 points.Â
-Â IUPUI allowed the Phoenix to shoot a combined 48.5 percent from the field, the highest combined FG% in back-to-back games IUPUI has allowed this season. The Jags allowed the second and third-highest FG% of the season behind allowed Notre Dame to shoot 52 percent.
-Â The Jags jumped out to early leads in both games, outscoring Green Bay 33-21 in the first quarter in both games. Coming out of halftime, IUPUI was outscored 36-27.Â
-Â
Trinity Duckworth (game one) and
Agatha Beier (game two) each made their first-career starts in the absence of
Destiny Perkins.Â
Jumping out Early
-Â IUPUI has led at halftime in every game this season, outscoring their opponents 241-154 in the first quarter and 239-150 in the second quarter. The second half has been much closer with the Jags outscoring opponents by 14 in the third and two in the fourth.
Can't Come Back
-Â The five minute mark has been a telling point for IUPUI. The Jags have not won a game if they have been trailing with five minutes left in the fourth quarter. On the other hand, if IUPUI has had the lead with five minutes left, they have not lost a game.
Big Points and Big Wins
-Â The Jags offense was on a roll before having to take two weeks off due to COVID-19 procedures. Before beating Green Bay by seven points and scoring 68 points in the game, IUPUI' s nine eight had come with the Jags scoring at least 71 points and winning by at least 20 points.Â
