INDIANAPOLIS – For the third-straight year, Macee Williams has been named Horizon League Women's Basketball Player of the Year, the league announced on Tuesday (Feb. 23).
Williams becomes the first player in Horizon League history to win the award three times.

Williams was also named All League First-Team for the third-straight year.

"Pretty cool to see Macee win the award for the third-straight week," said head coach Austin Parkinson. "She is a really difficult matchup for teams because she scores the ball so well but is also an incredible passer. We are very fortunate to witness the historic career Macee has put together."

Voted by the league coaches, Williams was rewarded for another stellar season as the senior led IUPUI to an 11-3 record in league play and finished with career-highs in both scoring (17.9 ppg) and rebounds (9.3 rpg). The Veedersburg, Ind., native finished second in the league in scoring and was tops in the Horizon in rebounding. Williams also finished with the highest field goal percentage in the league at .524.

On a national level, Williams finished the regular season 60th in rebounds per game, 73rd in points per game and her league-leading nine double-doubles were 29th in the NCAA.
Williams finished the season scoring in double-figures in 15 of IUPUI's 17 games and scored 20+ points in seven games. Williams also distributed a career-high 2.2 points per game, with four games of five assists, including her last three games.

During the season, Williams earned her 11th-career Horizon League Player of the Week award to set a new Horizon League record for career weekly awards.
