ROCHESTER, Mich. – The IUPUI women's basketball team continues their journey towards the #HLWBB title on Saturday (Dec. 4) when the Jaguars face conference foe, Oakland, on the road with tip off at 2:00 p.m.
The Jaguars enter the game after an 87-52 victory over Detroit Mercy on Thursday.
Macee Williams led the team with 18 points, six rebounds and two steals. Sophomore
Anna Mortag followed with a career-high 15 points and two assists. IUPUI's defense added pressure to the Titans and forced 30 turnovers.

Macee Williams leads the Jaguars and was named #HLWBB Player of the Week after the first two contests of the season. She is the reigning #HLWBB Player of the Year and became the first three-time Player of the Year in league history.

Austin Parkinson's team finished the 2020-21 season with a conference record of 11-3 and fell to Wright State in the Horizon League championship game. IUPUI looks for redemption this season and was voted atop the Horizon League Women's Basketball Preseason Polls for 2021.
IUPUI will face the Golden Grizzlies who are 2-1 in Horizon League play and 3-4 overall. Oakland enters the game after defeating UIC 67-59. Kahlaijah Dean leads the Grizzlies averaging 18 points a game and 2.9 steals per game. The Jags hold a nine-game win streak over the Golden Grizzlies.
The Jags are 21-24 against Oakland and last faced them on March 2, 2021, when IUPUI defeated the Golden Grizzlies 86-64. Saturday's game at Oakland will be aired on ESPN+ with tip off at 2:00 p.m.
