Box Score MILWAUKEE, WIS. – IUPUI men's tennis got a singles win from Colton Morehart but the Jags lost to Marquette 6-1 to start the season on Friday (Jan. 29).

IUPUI (0-1) lost the doubles point losing the No. 1 doubles match 0-6 and the No. 3 match 4-6. The duo of Ethan Mardanus-Budiono and Sean Bailey were leading their No. 2 match 5-3 when the doubles point was decided.

Morehart, playing in the No. 5 singles spot earned a three-set win, one of three matches that went the distance. After winning the first set 6-4, Morehart dropped the second set 2-6 before winning the third 2-6.

Eric Hollingsworth won his first set at No. 6, 6-2 but lost the next two sets 2-6, 2-6. At No. 2 singles, Bailey won the first set in a tie break before losing the second set in a tie break as well. Playing the third set as a tie break, Bailey fell 10-4.

IUPUI will take on Marquette again on Saturday (Jan. 30) to finish out the first weekend of the season.
