INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI softball sophomores

Amber Pagan were selected to the 2020 Horizon League All-Academic Team, the league announced on Friday (May. 1). The duo were selected to the team by the member institutions' Faculty Athletics Representatives.
Speth started every game in the outfield for the Jags and led the team with a .373 batting average, 22 hits and two triples. The sophomore was second on the team with 10 RBI and nine runs scored. The Delavan, Wis., native struck out just five times in 59 at bats and posted a .406 on base percentage. In the classroom, Speth holds a 4.00 GPA, majoring in health services management.
Pagan played in 19 of IUPUI's 20 games with 15 starts, primarily at first base. Pagan hit .263 with 10 hits and three doubles on the team. The Bartlett, Ill., native led the team with a .429 on base percentage, drawing a team-high 11 walks. Pagan in majoring in chemistry and holds a perfect 4.0 GPA.
