INDIANAPOLIS - IUPUI men's tennis will play host to Butler in a cross-town showdown at the West Indy Racquet Club on Saturday (Feb. 22). The match against the Bulldogs will begin at 2:30 p.m.
IUPUIÂ is coming off of a 6-1 loss to Marquette in its last match.
Sean Bailey picked up a singles win for the Jags in the loss to the Golden Eagles. On the season, Bailey leads the Jaguars with a 5-4 record in dual matches with all five wins coming at the No. 3 spot.
Ethan Mardanus-Budiono is second in the team with a 4-5 record having gone 3-5 in singles matches at the No. 2 spot.
ABOUT BUTLER
The Bulldogs hold a 1-0-4 record on the season and earned a win in their last match with a 5-2 win against Wright State. Butler has faced off against four other Horizon League teams already this season and are 3-1 in those matches.Â
Butler holds a large advantage in the all-time series against IUPUI with a 24-2 series lead. The Jaguars have lost the last seven matches against the Bulldogs.Â
