INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI men's tennis will play three matches this week, two of them taking place at the West Indy Racquet Club. The week for the Jags begins with a match against Xavier on Wednesday (Feb. 12) at Noon.
After taking on the Musketeers, IUPUI will travel to Dayton on Friday (Feb. 14) and will then come back home for a match on Sunday (Feb. 16) against Marquette

ABOUT IUPUI
The Jaguars went 1-2 last week, beating Chicago State but falling to UIndy and Purdue. Against the Cougars, the Jags came back from down 3-1 and Alex Jochim gave IUPUI the win with a three-set victory at No. 1.
On the season, Sean Bailey and Ethan Mardanus-Budiono lead IUPUI in singles wins with both players holding 3-3 records. Jochim sits at 2-4 on the season.
Bailey and Mardanus-Budiono continue to lead the Jags in doubles as well, with a 3-2 record.
ABOUT XAVIER
Xavier is 2-3 on the season and is coming off of a stretch of three-straight matches against Horizon League opponents. The Musketeers beat Northern Kentucky (4-3) and Wright State (5-2) but lost their last match against Cleveland State (6-1).
Three Musketeers are leading the team with 2-3 records. Four players have competed at the No. 6 spot where Xavier is 3-2 overall this season.
The duo of Matthew Graft and Shashank Reddy lead the team with a 3-2 record at the No. 3 doubles spot.
The Jags are 1-7 all-time against the Musketeers with the last match a 2-5 loss in March of 2017. Xavier has won the last four matches against IUPUI.
ABOUT DAYTON
Dayton is 2-5 on the year with a win in their last match against Duquesne. Dayton beat Wright State earlier in the year by a score of 5-2.
IUPUI is 5-17 against Dayton all-time but the Jaguars did earn a 4-3 win against the Flyers in Indianapolis last season. Before that win, IUPUI had lost five-straight matches against Dayton.
ABOUT MARQUETTE
The Golden Eagles have won three-straight matches to get their record back to 3-3 on the year. Marquette also has a meeting with a Horizon League opponent underneath their belt with a 6-1 win against Green Bay. Marquette will take on Purdue on Saturday (Feb. 15) before taking on the Jags.
Four different Golden Eagles sit a 4-2 on the season, including the top-three spots in the lineup. The team of Fran San Andres and Brett Meyers are 5-1 at No. 2 doubles play together.
The Jags have only beaten Marquette once in 13 tries and the Golden Eagles have one the last five matches.
