JAGS LOOK TO START #HLWBB PLAY OFF TO A HOT START
- IUPUI will look for its first win of the Horizon League season against one of the newest members, but a familiar foe, in Purdue Fort Wayne. The Jags last played the Mastodons when both teams were in the Summit League back in 2017.
- IUPUI has lost its last two Horizon League openers. Last year IUPUI lost at Youngstown State 73-75 and two seasons ago, the Jags fell by three in overtime at home against Wright State.
- The Jags have finished no worse than third in conference play in each of the last eight seasons with one regular season title (2019-20) and four second-place finishes.
- The Jags have won six-straight against Purdue Fort Wayne and 10 of the last 11 meetings. Only two of those wins for IUPUI were single-digit wins.
HOME SWEET HOME
- The Jags are back in the Jungle for the first time this season after playing their first three games on the road.
- Home has been a good place for the Jaguars recently as IUPUI has won four of its last five home openers.
- In eight of the last nine seasons, IUPUI has finished with double-digit wins inside the Jungle. Last season the Jags dropped just one game on their home court.
- Under Austin Parkinson, IUPUI has had a winning record in nine of his 10 seasons. IUPUI only posted a losing record at home in his first campaign (2010-11).
ROULE-ING FROM DEEP
- Senior
Sydney Roule has been on fire from three, hitting 10 threes and shooting 50% from deep in the first three games of the season. Roule hit four threes against both Northern Illinois and Notre Dame and matched her career-high with 16 points at the Irish.
WILLIAMS TABBED #HLWBB PLAYER OF THE WEEK
- After averaging a double-double last week,
Macee Williams was named Horizon League Player of the Week for the first time this year. Williams averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds in the two games last week. She has now been named Player of the Week nine times, tying her for 2nd most all time.
