MEN'S TENNIS TRAVELS TO WISCONSIN FOR TWO MATCHES

The Jags will play at Cardinal Stritch before traveling to Wisconsin to take on the Badgers over the weekend.

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – IUPUI men's tennis remains on the road for the early season with two matches in Wisconsin over the weekend. The Jags will take on Cardinal Stritch on Friday (Jan. 31) before taking on Wisconsin on Saturday (Feb. 1).

ABOUT THE JAGS
  • IUPUI is 1-2 on the season with a 4-3 win at Saint Louis and 0-4 losses at both Northwestern and Kentucky
  • Alex Jochim, Michael Koch and Ethan Mardanus-Budiono all lead the team with one singles win in dual meets.
  • The teams of Sean Bailey and Mardanus-Budiono and Jochim and Moody each hold a 1-1 record in doubles play this year.
ABOUT CARDINAL STRITCH
  • The match against the Jags will be the first match of the spring season for Cardinal Stritch.
  • IUPUI and Cardinal Stritch last met in 2017 with the Jags coming out on top 5-2.
ABOUT WISCONSIN
  • Wisconsin enters the weekend 5-0 on the season and will play Princeton and Green Bay before facing the Jags on Saturday evening.
  • Seven Badgers are undefeated in spring play but Robert Krill leads all of them with a 5-0 record, going 3-0 at the No. 6 spot. The Badgers have only lost matches in the No. 1 spot (1-2) and the No. 5 spot (4-1) in singles play.
  • In doubles play, Wisconsin is 9-2 overall with three different teams going 2-0 so far. Wisconsin has not lost in No. 2 matches (3-0) with three different teams picking up wins.
