MEN'S TENNIS TO SPEND SPRING BREAK IN HILTON HEAD, S.C.

The Jaguars will play four matches in the PTR Spring TennisFest.

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – IUPUI men's tennis will spend its spring break in Hilton Head, South Carolina, taking part in the PTR Spring TennisFest with four matches.

IUPUI will begin the trip with two matches on Sunday (Mar. 10), taking on North Carolina Central at 8:30 a.m. and La Salle at 3 p.m. Two days later (Mar. 12), the Jags will take on George Mason at 8:30 a.m. and will finish play in the event with match against the College of Coastal Georgia at 4:30 p.m.

The Jaguars (7-4) are coming off of a 4-3 win over Dayton and have won three of their last four matches.

Ethan Mardanus-Budiono still holds the top record for the Jags with a 6-3 mark, all coming at the No. 4 singles position. Eric Hollingsworth holds a 6-4 singles record and has won three matches at both the No. 5 and No. 6 spot.

In doubles play, IUPUI has been most successful at the No. 3 spot with the duo of Sean Bailey and Mardanus-Budiono going 5-1. In total, IUPUI is 8-3 in No. 3 doubles play.

SCOUTING REPORT
North Carolina Central
The Eagles are 0-5 on the season heading in to the match with the Jags. NCCU has only won one point in any of their five matches this season, with Gabriel Cucalon winning the No. 1 singles match against Duquesne in the last match the Eagles played in.

La Salle
La Salle is 2-7 on the season, last dropping a 3-4 result to Lehigh. A 5-2 win over Sienna broke a five-match losing streak to start the season.

In their last match, the Explorers took the doubles point winning the No. 1 and No. 2 matches and also took the No. 3 and No. 6 singles matches.

George Mason
George Mason is 2-6 on the season and beat the University of the District of Columbia, 7-0 the last time the Patriots took the court. The most successful position for the Patriots this season has been the No. 6 singles spot where the team has combined to go 4-4. In doubles play, the duo of Ryan Charles and Pally Ray are a combined 3-1 on the year.
