DAYTON, Ohio – IUPUI men's tennis cruised to a 7-0 win over Wright State on Saturday (Mar. 30). With the win, the Jags improved to 2-0 on the season in Horizon League play.

To begin doubles play, Sean Bailey and Ethan Mardanus-Budiono gave IUPUI its first point with a 6-3 win in the No. 3 match. After Wright State won 6-4 in the No. 1 match, Bradley Luetschwager and Kyle Whittaker pulled out a 7-6 win in the No. 2 match to give the Jags the doubles point.

Mardanus-Budiono began singles play at No. 4 with a 6-2, 6-4 win and Alex Jochim's 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 1 to pull the Jags within one point of the match win. Eric Hollingsworth came through for IUPUI and closed out the match with a 7-5, 6-2 win at No. 6.

To finish the sweep, IUPUI went to three sets in the remaining matches. Colton Morehart came back from losing the first set in his No. 3 match 3-6, to win 6-1, 6-2. Luetschwager dropped his first set 4-6 and then won the next two sets 6-0, 6-4. Following the comeback trend, Bailey lost his first set 6-7 but a 6-3 win in set two forced a third set the sophomore won 10-5.
