INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI men's tennis returns home for the first time Feb. 1 as the Jags will play host to Dayton on Friday (Feb. 22) at Noon. The match against the Flyers will be played at the West Indy Racquet Club.
IUPUI (6-4) will look to remain perfect at home against Dayton, a team the Jags lost to 6-1 a season ago on the road.
The Jags fell 6-1 to Marquette in their last match but
Eric Hollingsworth won his third-straight singles match against the Golden Eagles, improving to 5-4 on the season. Sophomore
Ethan Mardanus-Budiono had his six-match winning streak snapped but still holds the best singles record on head coach Brandon Currie's squad at 6-2.
In doubles play,
Bradley Luetschwager and
Kyle Whittaker have won all four of their matches as a team this season, all at the No. 2 spot.
Dayton comes in to the match with a 4-3 record and has played close matches all season. After the Flyers first three matches were decided by scores of 5-2, Dayton has played in 4-3 matches for the last four.
