WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYS FINAL NON-CONFERENCE ROAD GAME AT NORTHERN IOWA

The Jags will look to win its first true road game of the season when taking on the Panthers on Sunday (Dec. 15) at 3 p.m.

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – IUPUI women's basketball will play its final non-conference road game of the season when the Jags head to Northern Iowa on Sunday (Dec. 15) at 3 p.m. The game against the Panthers will be streamed on ESPN3.

The Jags will be looking to win its first true road game of the season after losing the first four road contests of the year. IUPUI did earn two neutral site games in Las Vegas but is 0-4 on the road.

IUPUI earned a win it its last game with a 103-45 win over IU Northwest. The Jaguar offense was balanced as five players scored in double figures with Macee Williams leading the way, scoring 18 points in just 17 minutes. Morgan Allen scored 17 points followed by Natalie Andersen, who scored 15. Taylor Ramey and Ali Berg each scored career-highs with 10 points.

The Jags now turn their attention to a 6-3 Northern Iowa team that beat IUPUI in Indianapolis last season, holding the Jags to a season-low 40 points. In the loss to the Panthers last year, IUPUI shot just 32 percent from the field and never scored more than 11 points in any quarter. Williams led the way for the Jags with 13 points and was the only player for IUPUI to score in double figures. The Jags especially struggled from deep, going just 3-for-15 from behind the arc.

Northern Iowa is coming in to the game having won their last outing 81-45 over Omaha. Before the win over the Mavericks, UNI had lost three-straight with the losses coming to Alabama, Ohio State and Creighton. The Panthers are 3-0 this season inside the McLeod Center.

The Panthers boast a balanced offense with four players scoring at least eight points per game. Kam Finley leads the team with 12.6 points per contest and Karli Rucker is the other player to score in double figures with 11.9 points per game. Rucker was the leading scorer for UNI in the matchup last season, scoring a game-high 14 points.
