JAGUARS IN LAS VEGAS FOR THANKSGIVING TOURNAMENT

IUPUI will start the tournament against St. John's on Saturday (Nov. 30).

11/29/2019 11:47:00 AM

LAS VEGAS – IUPUI women's basketball will spend the Thanksgiving weekend in Las Vegas at the Lady Rebel Roundup, hosted by UNLV. The tournament for the Jags will begin with a matchup against St. John's on Saturday (Nov. 30) at 4:30 p.m. ET.

IUPUI (2-3) will be looking to snap a three-game losing streak as it will take on the Red Storm for the first time in school history. During the three-game skid IUPUI has held a fourth quarter lead in all three games before dropping the game.

Freshman Natalie Andersen has been on a tear for the Jags having scored in double-figures in each of her last three games, including a career-high 16 points against UT Martin in IUPUI's last game. Andersen has also been on fire from deep, hitting three threes in each of those games for a total of 9-for-19 in those three contests (47.3 percent).

Macee Williams has also been consistent for head coach Austin Parkinson, scoring in double-figures in each of the last three and four of the five games this year. Williams has scored 17, 17 and 15 in her last three games respectively and shot 58.3 percent from the field in those games. Williams also grabbed her second double-double of the season with 10 rebounds against Butler. Williams is also one point shy of hitting the 1,000-career point mark.

  • It is the second game between IUPUI and a game between a member of the Big East this season with the first matchup a loss for IUPUI at Butler (Nov. 20).
