DAYTON, Ohio – IUPUI volleyball will head on the road for the first time in the Horizon League season as the Jaguars will play Wright State on Saturday (Oct. 5) and Northern Kentucky on Sunday (Oct. 6). The match against the Raiders will begin at 4 p.m. and the Jags and Norse will square off at 2 p.m. The match against Northern Kentucky will be streamed on ESPN+.

- IUPUI began the Horizon League schedule with two wins, matching its best start since 2017 when the Jaguars also went 2-0.
- IUPUI finished with 29 total blocks in the wins against Cleveland State and Oakland. It was the most blocks in a two-game stretch for IUPUI since Nov. 11 & 17 in 2017 when the Jags also finished with 29 total blocks.
- Senior Haley Hoffman earned Horizon League Player of the Week after finishing with 17 blocks in the two matches, including 10 blocks in the Jags' win over Cleveland State.
- Hoffman's 10 blocks against Cleveland State are tied for the second-most in IUPUI history in a single match.
- Hoffman's 17 blocks are the most in a two-game stretch since Bethany Fogler had 19 back in 2012.

- McKayla Wright is leading the Jaguars with 3.21 kills per set and is hitting .206. Wright finished last weekend with 11 kills in each match and has reached double-digit kills in seven of her eight matches played.
- Rachel Hickey is leading IUPUI's backline defense with 4.35 digs per set. Hannah Oehlberg is second on the team with 3.03 per set.
- The offense is being guided by the duo of junior Rebecca Schlechte and Regan Trueblood. Schlechte leads the team with 6.83 assists per set and Trueblood is averaging 4.03 per set.
- IUPUI's service game has been a strong point this season with the Jags averaging 1.45 aces per set.
- IUPUI had 19 aces over the past weekend, the most in two matches since collecting 19 combined aces in 2010.
- Remter leads the Jags with 19 aces, followed by Wright (16), Trueblood (12) and Rhiannon Scheunemann (10).
ALL TIME SERIES
vs Wright State – The Jaguars are 8-6 all-time against the Raiders and have split the four matches with Wright State since the Jags joined the Horizon League. Wright State took both matches against IUPUI last season with the first match being a 3-1 win and the second being a 3-0 win in favor of Wright State.
vs Northern Kentucky – Northern Kentucky holds a 5-2 advantage all-time against the Jags. The Norse have won three-straight matches in the series including sweeping the Jags last season.
SCOUTING REPORT
Wright State (13-1, 2-0)
Wright State comes in to the weekend undefeated in conference play and will take on Northern Kentucky on Friday (Oct. 4) before hosting the Jags. Wright State has won 13-straight matches after dropping its season opener against Bowling Green. Since, the Raiders have beaten Notre Dame, Xavier and Ball State and have won three-straight matches in straight-sets. Nine of the last 11 matches for Wright State have been 3-0 decisions.
The Raiders are second in the Horizon League with a .235 hitting percentage and Teddie Sauer is tied for second in the league with a .317 hitting percentage. On defense, Jenna Story leads the league with 6.38 digs per set.
Northern Kentucky (9-5, 2-0)
Northern Kentucky beat Youngstown State and Cleveland State to begin Horizon League play. The Norse offense has been solid to start the season with the team hitting .224 early this year. Northern Kentucky is also leading the league with 1.74 service aces per set.
On defense, Northern Kentucky is third in the league with 2.45 blocks per set, led by Bailey Western (1.11 blocks/set) and Natalie Hardig (1.06 blocks/set).
