NASHVILLE – IUPUI men's tennis closed out play in its fall season at the ITA Regionals hosted by Vanderbilt over the weekend. Two Jaguars earned singles wins and a doubles team also picked up a victory during the tournament.
The singles tournament started with
Ethan Mardanus-Budiono earn a 6-3, 6-3 win over an opponent from Ball State.
Sean Bailey also earned a singles win with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Tennessee State. Both Mardanus-Budiono and Bailey lost in second round matches.
Also in singles play,
Alex Jochim fell in three sets to an opponent from Vanderbilt, falling 6-2, 4-6, 6-3.
Colton Morehart lost his first round match after retiring against Lipscomb.
In doubles play, Jochim and Morehart earned a win over a team from Tennessee Tech in a tiebreak with an 8-7 (4) win. The duo lost in the second round, also in a tiebreak, 8-7 (5), to Middle Tennessee. Mardanus-Budiono and Bailey fell to a team from Kentucky 8-7 (7).
