SOUTH BEND, Ind. – IUPUI men's tennis lost its Horizon Opening match and then fell to Notre Dame to end the weekend.
 
The Jags (6-11) lost to Detroit Mercy on Saturday (March 24) by a score of 6-1 to open conference play. In a non-conference match on Sunday (March 25), the Jags lost 6-1 to No. 26 Notre Dame.
 
In the Horizon League opener for both teams, Detroit Mercy pulled out a 6-1 win over the Jags, who were playing their first match in 11 days.
 
The Titans earned the doubles point winning the No. 1 match, 6-2 and No. 2 match 6-4. #David Beasley# earned the Jags lone singles win, taking his No. 1 singles match 6-3, 6-0. #Bradley Luetschwager# played the next closest match, getting the three sets before falling 6-3, 4-6, 6-2.

Against the Fighting Irish the following day, IUPUI lost the doubles point, losing the No. 3 match 6-2 and No. 2 match 6-3. #Ethan Mardanus-Budiono# was the lone Jaguar to go three sets, picking up a win at No. 3 singles, 6-4, 6-7 (6-8), 10-6.
 
Beasley fell just shy of taking his No. 1 singles match to three sets, losing 6-0, 7-6 (7-3).
