ROCHESTER, Mich – After the best offense performance of the season, IUPUI will look to carry the momentum in to its matchup Oakland on Thursday, Feb. 15.

The Jags (18-6, 10-3) will look to keep its two-game lead for second place in the Horizon League and earn a season sweep over Oakland. The last time Austin Parkinson's squad took the court, the Jags scored a season-high 94 points against Cleveland State.
In the win over the Vikings, IUPUI shot a season best 58.1 percent from the field and scored a season-high 32 points in the first quarter and 56 points in the first half.
Danielle Lawrence led the way for IUPUI with 28 points, her second-highest total of the season. Lawrence finished the night 10-for-18 from the field and 5-for-8 from the three-point line.
For just the second time this season, IUPUI finished with five players in double-figures as
Tamya Sims scored 19 and had nine rebounds,
Macee Williams scored 15 points in just 12 minutes,
Morgan Allen tied a career-high with 11 points and
Sydney Hall scored 10, hitting three of four threes.
Williams, who went 6-for-7 in the game against the Vikings, is now the NCAA leader in field goal percentage, hitting 67.2 percent of her shots.
LAST MEETING
The last time IUPUI and Oakland meet was on Jan. 13 with IUPUI coming away with an 80-64 win. Williams led the Jaguars with a career-high 24 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. Williams also went 9-for-10 from the field and 6-for-7 from the free throw line. Lawrence was second on the team with 19 points, Hall added 12 and Sims posted 10.
The Jaguars overcame a 12-point deficit in the second quarter to take over the second half, eventually taking a 20-point lead in the fourth quarter. IUPUI did a lot of damage from the free throw line, getting to the charity stripe 27 times and hitting 22. The Jags also had solid ball security against the top-steals team in the Horizon League, only allowing seven steals, three steals under their season average.
SCOUTING OAKLAND
The Golden Grizzlies have struggled recently, having lost their last four games and seven of their last eight. Their last matchup was five-point loss to Wright State. In the loss to the Raiders, Leah Somerfield and Taylor Jones led Oakland with 16 points each. Oakland was done in, allowing Wright State to get to the free throw line 48 times, committing 30 fouls.
On the season, Oakland has four players in double-figures with Sha'Keya Graves leading the way with 12.8 ppg. Jones is right behind at 11.5 ppg, followed by Taylor Gleason (11.3) and Somerfield (11.2).
Oakland knows how to put the ball in the basket with the third-best scoring offense in the league at 70.4 points per game. On the flip side, the Golden Grizzlies are ninth in the Horizon, giving up 68.5 points a contest.
QUOTABLE
"This is a big week for us, being the last road trip of the season," said Parkinson. "Oakland can score in bunches and cause problems on the offensive glass, so we will have to be locked in and ready to go."
