INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI women's basketball hits the road for its second-straight game against a Missouri Valley Conference team as the Jags travel to Terre Haute to take on Indiana State on Monday at 7 p.m. The game will be streamed on ESPN3.
IUPUI (5-2) are looking to rebound from a poor offensive performance in a loss against Northern Iowa.
Macee Williams finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds but the Jags finished with a season low in points (40) and shooting percentage (32.6%). The Jags also struggled to get to the free throw line shooting a season-low 11 and only hitting seven.
The Sycamores come in to the game with a 4-1 record, coming off of a 62-51 win over Southeast Missouri State on Friday (Nov. 30). Indiana State had four players score in double figures with Ashli O'Neal scoring 15. O'Neal is the leading scorer on the season with 16.2 points per game.
IUPUI and Indiana State have met each of the last six seasons and the Jags have won the last three meetings. Last season's game was an 86-57 win for IUPUI and
Holly Hoopingarner scored a career-high 23 points and went 5-for-5 from the three point line.

- Scoring 70 points is an important sign for the Jags under head coach Austin Parkinson. In Parkinson's first eight seasons, IUPUI is 64-11 when hitting the 70-point mark. In those 11 losses, the most points scored by the Jags in regulation was 74 points. If IUPUI scores 75 points the Jags are 55-0 under Parkinson.
- The most points ever scored in a loss by the Jags under Parkinson was 83 in a 96-83 overtime loss to Miami (Ohio) in 2017.
- IUPUI has won its last ten games when scoring at least 70 points.
Close Encounters of a Basketball Kind
- IUPUI has played in one-point games in each of its last two contests (W vs. UT Martin, L/OT at Wisconsin). The last time IUPUI played in a one-point game the Jaguars beat North Dakota State 64-63 on Feb. 12 2016. The last occurrence of playing in back-to-back one-point games for IUPUI was Jan. 19 and Jan. 24 of 2013 when the Jaguars beat South Dakota State (57-56) and UMKC (47-46).
