SAN ANTONIO – IUPUI will spend its Thanksgiving holiday in the Lone Star state with games against UT San Antonio on Friday (Nov. 23) at 5 p.m. ET and VCU on Sunday (Nov. 24) at 2 p.m. ET.  Friday's game against the Roadrunners will be streamed on-line on Conferenceusa.com ($).

The Jaguars (3-1) will look to rebound from their first defeat of the season when they lost in overtime 65-64 at Wisconsin on Monday (Nov. 19), In the game against the Badgers, Macee Williams continued to dominate, scoring a career-high 31 points and pulled down eight rebounds. Holly Hoopingarner added 10 points, joining Williams as the only two Jaguars to score in double-figures all four games of the season.

Texas Two-Step
IUPUI returns to Texas for the first time since 2015 when the Jags played in a tournament at North Texas. During the tournament, IUPUI earned an overtime win over Stephen F. Austin and lost by one point to the hosting Mean Green.

Close Encounters of the Basketball Kind
IUPUI has played in one-point games in each of its last two contests (W vs. UT Martin, L/OT at Wisconsin). The last time IUPUI played in a one-point game the Jaguars beat North Dakota State 64-63 on Feb. 12 2016.  The last occurrence of playing in back-to-back one-point games for IUPUI was Jan. 19 and Jan. 24 of 2013 when the Jaguars beat South Dakota State (57-56) and UMKC (47-46).

Over the past five season, IUPUI is 3-2 in games decided by one point. The Jaguars are 10-7 in games decided by one possession, including a 3-2 record in games decided by three points or less last season.

Under Parkinson, IUPUI has 14-13 in one possession games and 5-6 in one-point games.

Williams Domination
Williams has scored in double-figures in all four games this season - 14-straight games going back to last season - and has scored more than 20 points in each of the last three games. The last time IUPUI has had a player score 20+ points in four-straight games Danielle Lawrence did it from Jan. 28 - Feb. 12, 2016.

In the Rankings
IUPUI was ranked No. 16 in the Collegeinsider.com poll in the latest release. The Jags have been in the poll every week this season, joining Green Bay as the only Horizon League team to be ranked this week.

Jags Against C-USA
When IUPUI plays UT San Antonio, it will be the third meeting all-time between a Parkinson-led Jaguar team and a current Conference USA opponent. The first two meetings, IUPUI beat Florida Atlantic 74-64 in 2011 and lost to North Texas 67-68 in 2015.

Scouting UT San Antonio
UT San Antonio has lost three of its last four games, including a 68-60 loss to Texas State on Tuesday (Nov. 20). Marie Benson led the Roadrunners with 17 points but no other player scored more than eight. The Roadrunners only shot 30% from the field and allowed Texas State to shoot over 45%.

For the season, Benson is the leading scorer for UTSA with 19 points per game. Tija Hawkins is second on the team with 11.2 points per game but the Roadrunners are shooting just 36.5% from the field this season and a paltry 21.7% from three point range.
