INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI welcomes Oakland to the Jungle on Saturday (Jan. 13) riding a four-game Horizon League winning streak. The game against the Golden Grizzlies will tip at 3 p.m.
The matchup will be on ESPN3 with Scott Agness on the call.
IUPUI comes in to the contest having beaten Detroit Mercy 90-62 in IUPUI's first game at home since Dec. 6. The 90 points are the most scored in a game by IUPUI since the Jags put up 95 against Oakland City on Nov. 16, 2016.

th time this season, scoring 18,
Danielle Lawrence scored 13 and
Jenna Gunn added 12.
The Jags dominated the Titans early, taking a 25-point lead in to the half. IUPUI held a major advantage on the boards, outrebounding Detroit Mercy 48-25 and held an 18-4 advantage on the offensive glass.
Morgan Allen pulled down a career-high 12 rebounds, including eight offensive boards.
Tamya Sims was second on the team with nine rebounds to go along with nine points.
For the season, the Jags now have three players scoring in double figures with Lawrence leading the way at 16.2 per contest, good for third in the Horizon. Williams is second on the team at 12.1 ppg and Hall has jumped back in to double-figures averaging 10.2 ppg. The offense has been very efficient as the Jags are the top shooting team in the Horizon, hitting almost 46 percent of their shots. Williams is tops in the league hitting over 68 percent from the floor.
SCOUTING OAKLAND
The Golden Grizzlies come in to the matchup 10-6 overall and are 3-2 in Horizon League play and have won their last two games. The matchup will be a test for IUPUI as Oakland is just behind the Jags averaging 72.3 points per game. The Golden Grizzlies are one of the best three-point shooting teams in the Horizon League, hitting 33.9 percent of shots behind the arc.
The Jags have had a rebounding advantage over most teams this season but Oakland comes in to the game pulling down one more board per game than IUPUI. Oakland is also the leading shot-blocking team (4.31/game) and steals team (10.44/game) in the conference.
Oakland has five players scoring in double figures this season, led by Sha'Keya Graves who is scoring 12.9 ppg. After Graves, Cierra Bond and Taylor Gleason are both scoring 11.4 ppg, followed by Taylor Jones (11.2 ppg) and Leah Somerfeld (10.4 ppg).
ALL-TIME SERIES
Oakland leads the all-time series with Jags 13-24 as the two teams were conference opponents for years. The Jags have won the last two meetings on their home court with those contest coming in 2012 and 2013.
The last time the Jags and the Golden Grizzlies met, the Jags came away with a 59-37 win. Current Director of Basketball Operations DeAirra Goss finished with 10 points in the game.
