BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - As has been the case seemingly all year, junior Aneta Abrahamova had a brilliant first day at the IU Invitational on Saturday (Apr. 8), carding rounds of 75 and 74 to put her in a four-way tie for fifth-place heading into Sunday's final round. The tournament's final 18 will begin with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start on Sunday at the IU Golf Course. 

Indiana's Alix Kong and Western Michigan's Anna Wilcoxson are tied atop the leaderboard at 2-under 142 while host Indiana leads the team standings at 12-over 588. Western Michigan (598), Toledo (603), Eastern Michigan (619) and Illinois State (624) make up the top half of the 10-team field while IUPUI is ninth at 646 (324-322). 

Abrahamova made three birdies during the morning round, including a late birdie on the par-5, 441-yard No. 12 to get to 3-over. Her second round was much steadier as she made 12 pars and a pair of birdies en route to a 2-over 74. 

Senior MeKenzie Hilsmeyer was the only other Jaguar to break 80 on Saturday, carding an opening round 78. She finished that round strong, going par-par-birdie-par over her final four holes to close at 6-over. However, round two wasn't nearly as kind as she posted an 86 and is tied for 44th overall at 164. 

Sophomore Lindsey Hackleman went the other direction with rounds of 86 and 80 to sit 46 at 166. Senior Erin Ingram, who became the second player in IUPUI history to amass 100 career rounds on Saturday, was one shot off Hackleman's pace at 167 (85-82). Ingram's roller coaster second round saw her card three birdies, but make just six pars in the afternoon. 

Senior Lindsey Budnik ended her day at 174 (88-86) and sophomore Elizabeth Orr shot 173 (84-89) while playing as an individual.
