NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. - The IUPUI women's golf team posted a second round 327 and slid to fifth-place after day two of The Summit League Championships at ArborLinks on Monday (Apr. 24). South Dakota State overtook Denver for the tournament lead at 611 while DU is second at 613. North Dakota State (634), Oral Roberts (638) and IUPUI (639) make up the middle of a tightly bunched field vying for the league title.

Junior Aneta Abrahamova continued to lead the Jaguars, carding a second round 78 to move her tournament total to 153 (75-78). Abrahamova is tied for fourth among the 45-player field and is four shots off the lead. The Second Team All-Summit League honoree continued to pour in pars on Monday, making 11 pars, a birdie and five bogeys on the day. She leads the field with 24 pars in two days, easily topping the field.

She was one of just 11 players to break 80 on Monday as conditions made scoring much more difficult in round two.

Senior MeKenzie Hilsmeyer and sophomore Lindsey Hackleman both carded rounds of 81 as Hilsmeyer is now tied for 14th at 158 (77-81). Hackleman is tied for 22nd at 162 (81-81). Hilsmeyer got off to a rough start, but made a birdie on the long par-5 No. 4 and finished her front nine at 40. Like Hilsmeyer, Hackleman also made a pair of birdies on Monday.

"It was definitely tough conditions," Hackleman said. "The heavy wind meant you had to be smart with where you placed the ball. I think overall the team did well in spite of the conditions and we're in position to place well tomorrow."

Senior Erin Ingram never got in a groove en route to an 87 and senior Lindsey Budnik struggled on the front nine, but recovered with a 39 on the back nine to close at 88.

SDSU's Megan Mingo leads the field at 149 (69-80) while Denver's Jessica Carty and SDSU's Teresa Toscano are tied for second at 152.

IUPUI will be paired with Oral Roberts and Western Illinois and tee off at 8:55 a.m. Central on Tuesday.
