THE @IUPUILADYJAGS HEAD SOUTH TO FACE ORU SATURDAY

The game will have live audio coverage, available for free via IUPUI Live!

TULSA, Okla. – Taking their six-game winning streak on the road, the IUPUI women's basketball team (17-6, 7-3) will head south as the team readies to face Oral Roberts (12-11, 4-6) in an early afternoon bout at 1:30 p.m. EST on Saturday (Feb. 4).  The Jags topped the Golden Eagles 53-41 in a home contest earlier in the season (Jan. 19).

Coming off quite possibly one of the most satisfying games of the season, the Jags topped Omaha 79-47 at home Thursday night (Feb. 2), as the team avenged a 44-64 blowout loss to the Mavericks on the road earlier in the year.  In that game, Danielle Lawrence led her team with 21 points, nine rebounds and four steals, as the Jags forced 21 turnovers by Omaha.

On the season, the Jags are averaging 68 points per game on a .440 team shooting percentage.  The Jags were a stellar 21-for-24 from the free-throw line in their most recent victory, and have shot .764 as a team on the year from the charity stripe.  With a victory, the Jags would tie their longest winning streak of the season.

The Golden Eagles are coming off a 62-76 loss to Western Illinois at home, their second loss to the Leathernecks this season.  The team is just 2-6 over their last eight games, a sharp contrast to the success they enjoyed during their non-conference schedule.  Similar to IUPUI, the Golden Eagles made waves by defeating the then 12th ranked Oklahoma Sooners 74-67 on the same day the Jags beat Missouri 73-45.  Oral Roberts would also pick up a win against an SEC opponent, downing Arkansas 70-60 in late December.  The Jags second big-stage victory came when the team topped the Purdue Boilermakers, 67-62, on the same day as the Golden Eagles' defeat of Arkansas.  It marked the first time any Summit League team had defeated Purdue.

This season, the Golden Eagles are averaging 66.4 points per game on a .407 field goal percentage, shooting .313 from three-point range.  Faith Ihim of Oral Roberts has been one of the best players in the League, averaging a League-best .533 field goal percentage and is the best rebounder at 8.2 per game.  The Jags are 15-19 lifetime against Oral Roberts, last winning in Tulsa on Jan. 30, 2016.
