Junior Aneta Abrahamova needed one less than stellar round to break the rust on her game before following with a strong second round. After shooting 83 in the morning, the Slovakian followed with a second round 74 to ascend to a fourth-place tie among the 66-player field. She mixed three birdies with five bogeys in her second round for a 2-over 74, the third-lowest round of the day.

Behind her, senior MeKenzie Hilsmeyer ended her day at 170 (84-86) and made three birdies on the day. She enters Saturday's final round tied for 35th overall. Senior Erin Ingram carded rounds of 88 and 85 while sophomore Lindsey Hackleman posted scores of 83 and 96.

Hackleman started the day well, going par-par-birdie on her opening three holes of the round and was 3-over after 11 holes. However, a rough stretch pushed her to 8-over before she eventually closed at 11-over 83 in the morning.

Senior Lindsey Budnik rounded out the lineup with back-to-back rounds of 92 on Friday.

SIU's Kristie Yang and Lamar's Elodie Chaplet are tied atop the leaderboard at 9-over 153. Abrahamova, seeking her fourth collegiate tournament win, is four shots off the lead heading into Saturday's final round.
